General Assembly of the Intenso Project in Lille This time the general assembly meeting was conducted on September 10th to September 12th in Lille at the “Grand Palais” just after the ESBES conference that most of the partners were attending. The recent project progress was presented to keep all partners at the same information level. For this meeting, renowned experts in the fields of biotechnology and exploitation were invited, to carefully scrutinize and assess the project progress and provide ideas and suggestions how to continue on an optimal trajectory towards the project goals. As is common practice at the Intenso project meetings, ample time was reserved for discussions in small groups and networking, to help deepen the understanding of the current state of affairs for each project partner and formulate the progress strategy for the following months.
The general assembly of the Intenso project was held on the 11th and 12th of February at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. During the two day meeting, the current developments within the project have been discussed at length and the time has also been used to network and keep all partners informed as to the current state-of-the-art in all four technological pillars. A member of the FP 7 project BioIntense was present as well to facilitate knowledge exchange between the two projects.

The second general assembly of the Intenso project took place on the 10th and 11th of September 2013 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna. During the first day of the meeting, the recent advances in the various work package were presented and discussed. The second day provided an opportunity for the partners to convene in small work groups and discuss the strategies for the next period, as well as mingle across work package borders and discuss novel strategies for lateral interaction. The event also enabled the consortium to take part in a guided tour of the facilities available at BOKU.
The first general assembly of the Intenso project after the kick-off meeting took place on the 19th and 20th of February 2013 at the Vertretung der Freien Hansestadt Bremen bei der Europäischen Union (Agency of the free Hanseatic city Bremen with the EU) in Brussels. The first day was dedicated to presentations by the work package leaders about the progress achieved in the four technological pillars, as well as management issues and a short presentation by the EU project officer about the future of the framework program. On the second day, future goals were discussed and agreed upon internally within each of the work packages and collaborations amongst the work packages were explored.
